our story

Katie and Logan met in December of 2009 at an open mic night at Tiffany Tavern in Old Town, Alexandria, VA, and there were sparks from day one!  

At that time, Logan was working on recording his first album, “Problems”. After performing together at several open mic nights (and going on a bunch of dates), Logan pulled Katie in to record an acoustic version of his song “Tests of Time”.  

The two soon began making a name for themselves at weddings, private and corporate events, restaurants, and vineyards throughout the Northern Virginia and D.C. Area.  

It didn't take long before Logan proposed at the place they met, Tiffany Tavern, and the two were married in June of 2012 in Chesapeake, Virginia in Katie's parents' backyard.  

Two years later, in April of 2014, they were thrilled to welcome their son, Holden, to the world. In 2017, their family trio became a quartet as they welcomed their daughter, Jovie Rae.  

Today, Logan and Katie are embracing the crazy life of parenting young children. They still love playing and performing together, and joke that their gigs are their date nights!

Outside of their duo, Katie is the creator of an early childhood music and movement program called Tots with Tempo, where she sings a lot more "Wheels on the Bus" than "Brown Eyed Girl"!

Logan works the other side of his brain during the week at the United States Patent and Trade Office, where he supervises patent examiners and puts that mechanical engineering degree to good use.

In their spare time, Katie and Logan enjoy a good game of D&D, dancing like no one is watching, yummy food and wine, and spending time with their children.
